Leading SAFe Certification – SAFe® Agilist

The Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a set of guidelines and workflow patterns intended to guide organizations in scaling Lean and Agile practices. While many companies adopt Agile systems at a team level, they often struggle to do so synergistically. SAFe assists in integrating the efforts of various workgroups, aligning them more effectively with broader common business objectives.

In the SAFe Agilist course, you’ll learn how to successfully implement Agile within your company, using Lean Thinking and Product Development Flow practices. Hermes will guide you in creating Agile Release Trains (ART), development cycles where Agile teams work together to enhance the quality and speed of deliveries, generating greater value for the entire company.

After the course, upon passing the exam, you’ll receive the SAFe Agilist certification: this certificate will confirm your expertise in directing a successful SAFe adoption.

History of the SAFe paradigm, core values, and implementation strategies.
Lean Thinking and Lean Software Development: principles and tools.
Agile Architecture, Agile Development, and Product Development Flow: methodologies, benefits, case studies.
Elements of Scrum and XP methods: Backlog Sizing, Estimating, Code Quality, and Continuous Integration.
Agile Release Train (ART): rules, roles, and opportunities.
Portfolio Program Management: Governance strategies and Investment Funding.
Scaling Leadership: becoming an Agile Leader, Value Stream analysis, assessing Agile teams.

The SAFe Agilist certification course is useful for all members of an Agile team but is primarily targeted towards those who need to drive the efforts to implement and scale Agile and Lean principles and practices within an organization:

Leaders, managers, executives;
Coaches and change agents;
Project Managers, Program Managers, Team Managers.

Everyone is welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended:

At least 5 years of experience in software development, business analysis, or product/project management;
Knowledge of the Scrum framework;
Understanding of the English language.

TRAINER

Giacomo Caturegli and Christian Marranci

The course is led by Giacomo Caturegli, entrepreneur, investor, and solutions architect. Involved in IT since 1994, in 2005, together with Federico Gulletta, he founded the software consulting and development company Hermes Trade, now Hermes Corporate. With a rich international background, Giacomo Caturegli has worked in various industrial sectors, such as petrochemical, energy, logistics, aviation, construction, fashion. As a certified SAFe trainer (SPC), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP-SM), and Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), he now promotes the values and principles of Lean and Agile methodologies for the growth of company teams and professionals.

The course is also taught by Christian Marranci, a ScrumMaster, Product Owner, and SAFe Practice Consultant. Employed at Hermes Trade since 2013, he has worked in various industrial sectors, including petrochemical, logistics, and digital technology. As a certified SAFe trainer (SPC), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), he now disseminates the values and principles of Lean-Agile methodologies for the growth of professionals, teams, and companies.
